SOA-based Voluntary Health Insurance Module

One of the Russian insurance market leaders with over 18 years of operations hired Auriga to replace several in-house legacy systems with a standardized, streamlined 3rd party system based on the industry best practices to support operational growth and remain competitive. The owner of the targeted solution didn't have any representatives in Russia, and Auriga customer didn't have experts to monitor and manage the process. So Auriga was chosen as a technology consultant, who would act like a connecting link between the client and the developer. Auriga’s experience in various enterprise solutions and in particular, large-scale workflow management automation systems was one of the governing factors why Auriga was chosen for this role.

The chosen solution is a flexible end-to-end Insurance Administration system built on the latest Oracle technology and embracing the principals of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA). It is a comprehensive insurance operations and management control system which encompasses Underwriting, Policy Processing, Billing, Rating, Endorsements, Claims, Reinsurance, General Ledger Accounting and Statistical Reporting. All modules are fully integrated and share a single database. It includes modules for CRM, finance, human resources, supply chain management as well as applications for business intelligence. This system had to be tailored to the Russian legislation requirements and in-house customer business processes, integrated with the existing information systems and all data should be migrated to the newly implemented solution.
