Sergei Morkovin, Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for Auriga's operations in non-delivery areas. Sergei oversees Auriga's IT, Administrative, Technical, Finance and HR Departments.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Sergei has played a significant role in evolving Auriga, into a dynamic and innovating business with a staff of over 240 top-notch IT professionals and a proven track record for providing information technology offshore outsourcing services.
Since the company’s inception, Sergei has contributed to elaborating a successful corporate strategy, augmenting the engineering and managerial staff, improving productivity, and fostering effective outsourcing relationships with overseas customers.
In 1990-1999, Sergei was in charge of the company's network and system integration division which engaged in a variety of medium to large-scale projects focused primarily on introducing leading-edge technology solutions that the company provided for their clients throughout Russia and the CIS countries.
Prior to joining Auriga, Sergei Morkovin, Ph.D., was a leading scientist and head of the Research Laboratory at Moscow State University. In 1985, as one of the developers and managing directors, Sergei took part in building a local heterogeneous computer network for Moscow State University—a project unparalleled in the Soviet Union. Sergei is a graduate of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University. He has over 25 publications in Computer Science.
