Auriga shares its experience in establishing Offshore Development Centers with software vendors

Auriga participated in the Outsourcing/Offshoring event held on January 18, 2007 in London, UK by Amadeus Capital Partners for hardware and software start-up companies that consider software development outsourcing as a part of their strategy. The event allowed these companies to get information on and insight into organizing captive and outsourcing offshore development centers from selected service providers and other start-ups.

During vivid and frank discussions, Auriga shared its experience in organizing Offshore Development Centers using a unique engagement model. The model is based on the company’s more than 16 years of experience in providing software development services to software vendors and equipment manufacturers, and is specifically targeted to benefit high-tech companies. As Auriga’s practice shows, such companies have a very extensive set of business needs that includes high flexibility, excellence in knowledge attaining and retaining tasks, and others. These needs make such standard models as resource augmentation, a fixed price project, or even a conventional offshore development center suboptimal for the purposes of high-tech companies. The substantial experience of implementing the Remote Engineering Center model for ISV and OEM companies, including start-ups, allowed Auriga to provide valuable input to the event participants.
